David Wagner - A Conspiracy

The transfer window does not resemble what Chris Wilder was speaking about close season or during the summer. The players that have been brought in do not seem best suited to a 3-5-2 infact the players purchased don’t even cover the positions required for 3-5-2! Talk of Chris Wilder having his head turned by Burnley, losing Marcus Tavernier to Bournemouth, then themselves being without a manager..

Compo for Chris Wilder and David Wagner coming in?

Well, i’ve convinced myself that Warnock had worked as a fluffer for Wilder. The change in formation etc 17 games in and away he went.. now ‘Wagner’s Men’ being prepped by Wilder?

Blackpool away (game 17) sees Wilder on 1 year + 1 day

We can’t finish that game on 17 points! 20 points would be tight, Warnock was chucked on 22 points..

I don’t think so

How I see it is the management coaches have communicated to the press a plan which in all honesty is perfectly compatible with Wilder

But they haven’t seen it through
I think it seemed like a good idea.. but then paying for it not so much. Number one priority is balancing the books.

One permo midfielder and two loans in January.

Even if another manager were to come in, he won’t get much more out of our midfield. If they were to be anymore pedestrian, we’d have to install a Pelican crossing for them to safely cross the halfway line.
Tommy Smith was the main gadge at Huddersfield, Howson could play the Jonathan Hogg role and Duncan Watmore doing his best Nahki Wells impression!

We identified David Wagner as a manager for us to take over from Aitor Karanka.. from the walk out to the summer to the January strop

29 May 2017- Huddersfield Promoted - we stuck with Karanka
9 May 2019 - Joined Schalke - we appointed Woodgate
10 June 2021 - Joined Young Boys - we stuck with Warnock went for Wilder

7 March 2022 - Wilder was linked with Burnley in April..

If he does join Huddersfield, then you are saying that they won’t finish above us this season?

No, but I'm saying I wouldn't want him as our manager.

Huddersfield were dire to watch and he's failed at every club since.

I can understand people wanting us to change manager right now, I cannot understand people wanting David Wagner.

I think our players would be more suited to how he plays. Our last success was under Aitor Karanka and I see him as a nicer, more flexible version.

Wilder needs another two seasons with four big windows, Wagner could manage with what we’ve got.
