Surely someone higher up the leagues has to take a chance on him at some point.
Could we? Would we? That Is if Carrick goes of course.

Gibson has never appointed a manager from the lower leagues, I don't think he gives it much thought. We'd be far more likely to appoint a complete rookie or a Championship dinosaur.

Technically accurate, but slightly misleading stat, he ditched Hartlepool after a 5-0 defeat when they were 10th in the table.

Wouldn’t class Stockport as Lancashire to be fair, historically speaking it could be but only if you mean north of the town centre and north of the Mersey.
Historically, most of Stockport, including the town centre, was part of Cheshire. However, some areas west of the River Tame and north of the River Mersey were historically in Lancashire . Since the local government reorganisation in 1974, Stockport has been part of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport within Greater Manchester

Which is basically what I was saying.

I'd steer clear of Dave Challinor.

For no other reason that my Stockport supporting mates would string me up if Boro nabbed him.

Done a fantastic job at Stockport, could he move up to the next level.......🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t know why I think it but I’m sure they have a few quid behind them. Might be wrong mind.
Nothing to do with this thread, and not a dig at you - but beginning a statement with "I'm sure...." is always an odd one.
People use it when they mean the exact opposite.
i.e. they're not sure.

Are there other examples of that sort of thing? (Apart from things said sarcasticly)
I'm sure there must be.

😂 When you ask someone how they are and they reply with ‘not too bad’ when they really mean they’re quite good, or ‘not too good’ when they’re unwell. We should swap them round really.

Watched videos about Will Still- meticulous and clearly knows what he’s talking about, would have us playing some great stuff when Carrick is gone.
