Immense! He was superb at the back. Absolute leader and for me captain next season. Love him, glad he’s turned out to be the player he said he would be from the beginning.

Special mention to McNair too, he’s definetly staying in the team until he plays himself out of it, he’s been class last few times he’s been in the team.

Absolute leader. You don't get many of those these days. He's showing everything that we'd heard about him.

I loved when he ran over to Smith and high fived him when he blocked a cross 👌

Trying not to be negative but I hope Carrick doesn't shoehorn Fry into a back 3. It's clear we're a back 4 team now.

No doubt he’ll take credit for his signing if we end up going up
“I brought in a ready made captain for Carrick blah blah”
Top player has been excellent in a back 4 this season👍
Well he DID sign him.

I love this sort of stuff though. Warnock didn’t sign Akpom but did sign Morsy, etc. It happens every year.

The club was being slated for buying Forss at one point, now it turns out he’s good everyone is hammering Wilder for not getting a tune out of him. Everyone was buzzing off Muniz but now nobody mentions it.

Just so we’re clear; Wilder signed Connolly didn’t he? Definitely Connolly. Because Connolly was poor. Tommy Smith is interesting. I remember Wilder being slated for signing him. Who do you think signed him now?

Lenihan has been good since we signed him, he was getting slated constantly and unnecessarily at the start of his time here.

Excellent signing and he definitely feels like captain material for us.

He's edging closer and closer to a goal for us too, so unlucky not to get one yesterday.

Yep, I remember me and you being 2 of his biggest supporters even when he was getting a bit of stick on here at the start . Love him me

The fact is Wilder couldn't get a tune out of the squad, be it existing players or his signings.

Carrick come in and without the benefit of a transfer window immediately gained the trust of the players, established a formation and a playing style.

It can't be a coincidence.
