tbf just checked them on FM and Egan/Collins are rated better and he's level with Omobamidele. Maybe he doesn't want to take such an experienced player as effectively 4th choice CB (and as above presumably the existing players are now in favour). Could just be a bit unlucky.

In my experience. Darragh makes the step up to the PL very well! Although on my save in which I'm in my second season he's just lost his place to Leo Ostigard

yeah he's one of our best players on FM so should be able to make the step up. I think he's unfortunate that there are 3 other similar standard Irish CBs which they currently prefer.

Why would a league one player start for England?

He does come out with some crap doesn’t he? England have a bigger pool to pick from so don’t have to look so far down.
