Danby House for sale

Holy crap, I never realised there was that much land with it. I would have loved to own that. I used to see it every morning on my commute to work. Like you say, it deserves to be preserved, has the perfect space for working from home too.

I'm actually surprised by how cheap it is (I know it needs some work) - think of what you can get for $325k and it looks like it a bargain - I suppose its proximity to a main road pushes it down somewhat.

Maybe a bit, but you could remedy that by putting all the living space at the back and using the front rooms as formal areas I guess. There is a natural sound barrier at the rear with all of the trees too, it would be peaceful.

Not peaceful on a Sunday when 300 tjfa kids are on the pitches behind !
Joking aside , that will get snapped up .

I reckon the covid situation is going to be a good leveller for UK property prices . Who needs to pay those ludicrous one bed flat prices in London when you can appreciably work from anywhere in much bigger homes in more generous surroundings .

Yeah but people don't only live in London to work there.

It's the greatest city in the world / one of them (delete as applicable) and people want to be there for much more than work, so whilst it may result in a temporary drop in prices it's not going to result in a massive reset (IMHO).
