Dan Poulter, Tory MP, defects to Labour

It is a perfectly timed betrayal, you can almost imagine poor ickle Rishi clutching at his back gasping "Et tu Poultus?" When the local elections play out this week it is unlikely to be good news for anyone in a blue rosette. They are well and truly screwed. The latest speculation is that he will then call an early GE solely to head off calls for him to resign.

I think we'd all welcome that?
