Hard to come on expect a make an impact in a game were struggling and given the game time

Came good 2nd half against qpr. It’s a squad game but I don’t think we’ve been using it as well as we could at times

With the exception of his first game when he came on and we were totally dominant he has been pretty poor in every other appearance but especially tonight. Could hardly play a pass.

Think the only pass he managed to get to a red shirt is when he held on to the ball too long then slid it through to a offside Akpom, surprised by him struggling like he is

I know but he was brought on to make a difference and he hasn’t shown much at all in the games he’s been involved in. He doesn’t run either which I find very frustrating. Just expects to stand still and dominate, winds me up

I think the biggest thing this side lacks is a monster in midfield. Boateng or prime Clayton.
That's who we needed to bring on today.
This fella looks like a passer. He'll probably need to get used to the speed we are playing the game at the moment, and where his teammates are going to be in the pitch.

I still think he needs to find his feet, and soon. Will give him a pass for his next two appearances, but needs to step it up after that. He’s not had that many minutes to be fair, a few, but not loads. Making the transition to a different play style is always a challenge.

Really poor passing tonight, he put is in more danger than we needed to be.

A shame, but it's still early days.

I think you're being a bit harsh. He came into a midfield that was being over run and it was a one for one, not a tactical change. Made as n early sloppy pass (Howson and Hackney made them all game) then settled.

We were second best by some distance before he came on.
He never settled. He got worse.

Feels like he is struggling a bit to know what his role is for us. Must be challenging after being the main man for Rotherham. As Carrick has mentioned about all the players, needs to show his personality and show us what he can do, without worrying too much.

Boro fans never learn. Always slag a player off who then inevitably finds his feet and becomes a key player.

See McGree and Lenihan as just two examples this season.

Barlaser will play his part.
Aye, 2 players I backed from the start. Stop putting all Boro fans in the same box.

Hes got a lot to prove being compared with other players who have came in and had a big impact and also following in crooks foot steps.

He has been way off and needs to start doing the basics better. Mowatt looks a better option at the moment.

He is a good footballer but as others have said, he is just trying to force things. I like that he tries to make an impact - it would be nice if a few of them found a team mate though 😉
