Looked superb from that extended cameo.

I think a future of him and Hackney as attacking MF with a more defensive MF as a forward sweeper would really set us up for a promotion push next year if we don't make it this time.

Not worrying about juggling too many players; injuries and suspensions will happen.
I quite understood taking Hackney off today: on a booking with a couple of other fouls, leaving him on was a risk we didn't have to take.

After the game Carrick mentioned Mowatt too. He's happy to have the four of them and let's face it he knows a thing or two about midfield.

Mowatt was great when he came on two, made some really creative passes.

Baralser played some great balls, but also gave it away once or twice - promising debut though, he'll be a big player for us I'm sure.

Tried the Hollywood ball a couple of times, I’ll put it down to wanting to impress a little too much and his role at rotherham is to get it up field quickly.

I’m not going to go over the top over a cameo, but he looked decent, but let’s give him a month to get settled in before we expect him to instantly replace someone

Very composed, has a real eye for the killer pass. Makes himself plenty of room as soon as he gets the ball. The ball across for Akpom was superb.

Actually, rotation is one thing Carrick doesn't do. He hardly changes the starting 11.

Seems a long time ago since the dark days of Howson, Crooks and Mowatt getting completely outpaced and overran every game in the middle.

This lad is a player.

I’m front row in block 17. Second half he played a ball from inside right which Chuba nearly managed to connect with at the back post with a diving header. As soon as he put his head up, I could see Chuba making the run. Inches away from absolute perfection.

Could have easily been a goal. Overall, he was very assured! Going to be a great signing

Don't know about that, he had only been on the pitch for 10 minutes and decided to have a lay down and rest when Blackpool took the free kick just before the final whistle!
