Dael Fry should be the first name on the team sheet.

Terrible game tonight but Fry was the best defender by far. Had the only attempt on goal (header) and the pass of the match to Forss, who should have scored. (y)
I don't agree, I thought he was slow and takes an age to shift direction. The pass to Forss was excellent but overall he looked poor and nowhere near the pace of the game.

Needs to get a bit more power in his passes. Played the ball out to McNair a few times and seemed to take an age to reach him. Noticed Wilder mention it a couple of times too aswel to him

Sorry that he isn’t Glenn Hoddle but, we at least need one proper defender who can put the ball in row Z if needed.

Slower each time he was on the ball.
As a defender you should be slow and calm. The midfield and attack need to be quick. Our defence has looked worse this year without Fry. We need him back to keep the goals out as we need to keep clean sheets if we have any chance of the top six. (y)

Fry is coming back from injury, Lenihan didn't do anything deserving of being dropped against West Brom for me.

Likewise with McNair, coming back from injury.
Except for being wildly out of position for their goal and constantly muscled off the ball in the 2nd half?

Fry should be the first defender on the team sheet.

Living abroad I admittedly haven't seen that much of Fry, clearly nowhere near as much as others on here but from what I have seen I don't really understand why he's rated so highly. He's good in the air but pretty poor on the ground. His distribution is non existent. What am I missing?

I also have not very positive views about McNair - other criticisms with him - so I can understand why they aren't nailed on starters. Here's hoping both prove me wrong!
Dael Fry was previously poor in the air but has improved massively. His distribution I would argue is very good. His range of long passing has improved immensely. He lacks leadership yes but look what that did to Lenihan against WBA. When they got on top as a 'leader' he began trying get us back in the game single handedly and as a centre half that led to him forcing passes, getting too tight on his man and moving out of position. Maybe not as good of a leader as we thought!

Dael Fry, Lenihan and Paddy are the best back 3 in this division. With back ups of dijksteel and Bola I think we are fine.

The rest of the team though, where do we start.

Fry is as good as it gets for for us (more because there isn't really any competition is there!) but his progress has stagnated, he is criminally overrated because he is a local lad (See Ben Gibson). I cant believe we didn't sell him for good money when Burnley were sniffing about. He has a price, not someone you build your team around. He will only regress staying here and everyone knows it. Would like to see a proper CB brought in, oh and one that can actually be a threat heading set pieces aswell. Fry is woeful in the opposition box, barely wins a header, no where near aggressive enough in the air for his size.

Shocked to see them quotes from Wilder that taking Fry off at HT was tactical, he is our best defender when fit the entire situation is baffling

Because you are carrying on like a pork chop...

"He will only regress staying here and everyone knows it"

No they don't.

"Would like to see a proper CB brought in"

What like one kept Ronaldo quiet for 90mins?

As for the wiping asses comment... You just come across like a bit of a d*ck.
Oh wait there is noise, sounds like a JCB starting up. Oh I am a d*ck a massive one but thats unrelated to you looking very silly right now. Only took one game aswell, superb. Actually hooked at half time couldn't make it up 😂😂😂👌. Anyone would think I'd paid Wilder to do so. One for the scrap book in football judgement that.
