Really nice to hear that he'd requested to do this and also very refreshing to hear a professional sportsman speak from the heart rather than just regurgitating the party script.
Hope someone's got something half as good to say about me when I pop my clogs.

TGH has been a "friend" of the podcast since he was a neo-pro riding for the Bissell Development Team, and provides some good insight into the world of professional cycling when he does pop up.
I like Richard and Lionel, but by god Daniel is pretentious (although I know he plays up to it at times).

Lionel Birnie lives not far from me. Big Watford supporter. Met him at a function at a local cycling cafe last year but he is quite a shy guy - bit surprising for a journalist.

Yeah he flew back from the Giro when Watford got hammered in the FA cup final. For some reason I always imagined he would live in Watford or at least Hertfordshire, not Cardiff.

For those cycling fans amongst us, they've already cancelled the first 3 stages of the Giro which were due to be in Hungary this year.
Typical, my first attendance at a Tour de France in 3 years due to living in the US, and now it looks like it probably wont actually happen.
