Crystal Palace Europe Issue

Will be very harsh if they get booted out because of their ownership model, would be different if there was a single owner but there's 4 with equal voting rights

It would be harsh because other clubs have been allowed (City and Girona in the CL and Utd and Nice in the EL last season for example).

There really needs to be a clampdown on multi-club ownership though. It's pointless having a rule if there are no penalties ever enforced. So much abuse happens through the model.

I didn’t know about this.

So it’s fine to be in Europe if you have one owner, no matter how hideous they are, but not if you have 4.

And Palace haven't the political clout to get away with it.

This could get very messy. If CP is booted out, then Forest is next in line. Their owner, Marinakis, claims to have 'stepped back' from his role at NF, left the board, etc., to avoid multi-club ownership conflicts. This hasn't stopped him from marching onto the pitch to abuse his own manager, however. I foresee a fat earner for m'learned friends.

They haven't got way with it - they lodged the right papers, with the right solution, at the right time allowing them to participate

Palace haven't done that ..... that's why its a problem for them.
And now its too late

The owners fault
yeah I assumed there was reason they got away with it and is why I said 'If they got away with it' :)

I can u der stand why palace never submitted paperwork by deadline as its not something they need as not a thought of been in Europe.

Textor has now sold up and moved on.

I also believe he may own a big percentage but his voting rights don’t reflect this. Parish has final say and despite bn one of lower share holders
