Crowd noise

I never knew it was actually piped into the stadium. But I can hear it loud and clear tonight.
It’s actually really loud. Drifting across the whole of Brentford. I actually thought they may be playing at the new stadium over the road from me it’s so loud

Surely that must be just a "one-off".
I read that in games the players cannot hear the "sound effects " and cannot you hear just the players voices etc in some coverage ?

Think it's the choice of the club. I remember when we played Stoke, they were playing strange crowd reactions, like booing their own team, into the stadium, because the BBC Tees commentators were laughing about it.

Yeah it surprised me. Also surprised me how loud it was. I'm a good half a mile from Griffin park and, with the windows open, could clearly hear it.

Like most, I thought it was added on by the TV feed

most of it is added by the tv feed. I watched most of the premier league games with stadium sound only and you could hear the players fart.

Can't be right for most games. I watch the games with the piped sound off. I would still be able to hear it if it was piped into the ground as you can clearly hear the bench and players shouting.

Yeah that’s what I thought. It was definitely piped through to the stadium last night though. Unless one of my neighbours had the Sonos on REAL loud!

I think it’s right that clubs decide. I remember someone saying Fulham tested theirs a few months back. Maybe it’s a West London fing?
