Crooks

Flatters to deceive . I do not know what his position is ? Has skill for a big man , but hasn't got the energy for CM, not a no10, or a prolific CF , could have been sent off due to wrong decisions.

Been absolutely brilliant in central midfield. Helped create the first goal with a great pass. Warnock said he has been running 13k in games recently at 6 foot 4 but will always be remembered for losing his man for the first goal! Never mind, at least he wont be playing Saturday v WBA as he is now suspended so you can see how we do without him. We did not lose this match because of Matt Crooks.

He looked well of the pace. He was blowing out of his ass at the point he got his yellow card. I like him a lot. But let’s be honest, if he was that good. He wouldn’t be here. There was only us and Ipswich reportedly after him which again tells me quite a lot.

Been one of our best all season but had a bad night, didn’t cope well with being on a yellow early. Should’ve been hooked a lot sooner than he did.

We did concede a couple goals because ofhim tho. I just dont see it. Hes one of those players that doesnt have a position. Great opportunity for someone to step up now hes suspended.

I think he'll benifit from Saturday off. He's almost played every minute.

I have a feeling he's one of these that we will miss when he's not playing. Just does a job....it's alright people saying 'he just runs' but that's not a giver for many (we know that as Boro fans).

I doubt we will be 'better' without him. I'd say for 750k (ish) he's been a great buy in terms of fee etc.

Hackney and Malley are better than Crooks and Howson and cost nothing

Been one of our best players this season, probably shouldn't have played tonight but the options on the bench were limited.

He's good but would have preferred Smith their striker.
A bit like when we lost out on Jed Wallace but got Savile

Must admit I'm not a fan. Wasn't sure of his best role/position when he signed and still aren't. League 1/bottom of Championship probably his level.

I guess I'm still not sure where his strengths lie. He's not great off the ball, quite clumsy and lacks the positional sense to be effective deep in a three (in my opinion). Going forward he links up play quite well but we have better at the club for that role (Payero and arguably Tav).

That said, he has looked decent in the holding midfield role in front of defence but I'm not sure if that's a result of the opposition not putting him under pressure in that role?
