Crooks red card rescinded

How many players have we appealed against and won now? (Ayala, Traore, Crooks)... There is a pattern developing that, if in doubt, send the Boro player off. It happened under Pulis as well. Has Gibbo upset the EFL as we always seem to get trigger happy referees?!

Video replays are a must if these poor decisions are to be negated. Surely it can be provided at Championship level. I'd be far happier knowing the decision was made after a second look. What happened to only the captain approaching the ref, players still bullying the refs into making decisions.

I was just about to post that's 4 out of 5 recinded. That's absolutely shocking from officials. I guess sat what you like that if we had VAR you'd turn them over on the spot.

I remember that Morsy one last year that hit his hand when he had his back to the ball😂

What happens to the lino who gave it from 30 yards away and can see through a packed penalty box? I'm not even sure it's a foul.

I also think maybe throw a 'charge' at the Reading keeper. He grabbed his face (not touched) and then sprang up like zebadee when he heard the crowd cheer when he was sent off.... Sh*thouse😕

What happens to officials who get their wrongly issued red cards rescinded?
Do they get rebriefed? Reprimanded? Cup of tea and a slice of cake and a cuddle?

So we still played the last 12 minutes incorrectly with only 10 players. The Reading players all raced to the ref on Saturday and helped get him sent off. Keeper was not injured.

Morsey @ home to Luton was recinded last year - he slipped on the dodgy surface and thus the ball hit his hand and a pen was given and straight red - crazy.

When Fry had his eye socket damaged by a Blackburn players foot, no foul was even given.
Oh, I think Mr. Warnock has to have a think about whether his habitual and incessant haranguing of match officials is actually counter productive...
I think its more just poor decision making by the officials and some amateur dramatics from opposition players at times.

Indeed - the fact that the video was shared on social media and the red card was rightly condemned by almost the entire football community makes those Reading players look foolish. Except it doesn't, because they don't care, their fans don't care, the authorities don't care, and nothing will be done about their playacting.

I have watched the challange several times. How I see it is they both went for the ball at the same time, both doing there jobs, Crooks trying to score with the loose ball and keeper saving it. No dangerous play or intention to foul, it just happened that they both got to the ball at the same time.

The first time i saw it i thought it was a reckless lunge. On the replays it was clear it wasn't.

I'm not a ref though. Video replays would be a simple way to resolve the issue, and then I could probably be a ref too.

Nop unfortunately its part of the game

To be fair to the ref when I saw it live I thought oh dear he is off here. When saw it 2nd time I thought yellow. First slomo was obviously it wasn't even a yellow just a foul. Referees are human too. We didn't lose at the weekend because of the ref. Warnocks rants every week are not helping us.
