Crooks , Djiksteel and Muniz

Game of 2 halves for crooks, good first half with a great assist. however in the 2nd half and once they equalised, he missed a chance or two and the ball seemed to get stuck under his foot or he would mis control it. Lots of moves broke down or lost their momentum due to it.

Dijksteel did what dijksteel always does, plays decent enough but then culpable for a goal. The first goal, probably a foul, but he has too be stronger in there for me. He knows, or he should know, what is coming and he has to react better to the block, not end up on his ar$e

Muniz, he got 10 mins, cant blame the lad.

As others have said on here, bola was probably the weak link, but he was being played out of position so cant really fault him
 
It wasn’t a ‘hopeful punt’ at all from Crooks…

We were trying that long ball from the right over the top to Archer a few times in the first half and he nearly got in a couple of times. Even the pundits picked up on it at half time.

We were wonderful last night with barlassor and mowatt absolutely top quality and howson brilliant at the back.
Mowatt and barlassor also tired into the last quarter of the game and neither really made any runs into the box : mowatt made a couple in the first half but that’s just lack of game time
Bola was the only one who struggled with playing out of position and being rusty so fair play to him for doing it for the team (!)

agree on Dijksteel, but Crooks in the key moments didn't have the composure. Akpom is 3x the number 10 that Crooks is.
 
I think its safe to say that if the chances that fell to Bola and Crooks fell to Chuba, McGree or Forss there would have been different result. They beat us by cheating yet a much weakened Boro team could perhaps should have done them. I think that Rob Edwards has made a mistake by playing his full strength side against us for 60+ minutes. Aside from a dodgy penalty and a "clever" corner routine we had them.

They will not fancy us at Wembley (if they and us make it) after that, we are in their heads.

I thought Dijksteele was average, and nowhere near the level he was at, his control and technique looked way off.

Under Wilder he probably was playing like our best defender or one of, but I don't want to get on his back about it mind, as he's not had many minutes.
 
Muniz looked a really good player and a handful when we first got him, but drifted off under Wilder and doesn't look the same player now.

He only came on in the 78th minute. Give the guy a break. He has not played for months.
I would rest Archer and give him a full game at Rotherham. Just in case he is needed.

I just mean in general also, there's a reason he's not been getting on the bench or getting on etc, it just seems strange considering he was absolutely our no 1 striker or intended to be, when we got him.

He will be a good player though, no doubt about it, but I think he needs to be a bit stronger physically and maybe mentally too, as he looks to have the ability. I don't think he will be coming back, and think if something happened to Archer they would put Crooks up top, or maybe even Forss (if fit) now that Jones is back in contention. Nobody can or is replacing Archer, but I suppose Forss is the closest, of what we have.
 
Felt it was unfair to throw Muniz on. The lad knows he isnt in MCs plans, he isnt upto match speed so might have been better to throw on one of the youth lads if they were strikers, if not should've had one on the bench cos Muniz always comes off as a scapegoat bless him
