Do we really want to see pens for every tackle made on a player after they have taken a shot though? I am not sure either way really.

If so then Chelsea would have had a pen last night for Glover connecting with Chilwell after Chilwell had headed it.

It is definitely true that fouls are treated differently in/outside the box though.

and VAR would have given a penalty and maybe a red for endangering an opponent

Yes, it’s no different to a player making a pass then getting hit with a tackle,if it’s late then it’s late.Same for keepers ,just bulldozing their way through players .
