Craig Charles on R6

Baker, Elms, Charles. I haven't seen or heard any of those since the nineties.

Speaking of Maconie, did anyone catch 'Northern Soul at the Proms' on BBC R3. Should be on iPlayer.

They'll all had a constant pressence on national radio over the last 20 years (Baker's ended rather ignominiously sadly).

Dont think Maconie's proms is on Iplayer yet (at least the TV one) although the Radio show may now have made its way on there.

The Northern Soul Prom is a great listen. It's available on BBC Sounds now and will be broadcast on TV later in the month. Not closely linked, but still R6 connected, someone has banged two of my favourite things together and made me all excited for Saturday... I'm going to see Cerys Matthews read "under Milk Wood". Can't wait. Then Gwenno performing "Tresor".

Cerys Matthews' show on a Sunday morning is one of my favourite things on the wireless.
