Information on following the Government's Coronavirus advice has been translated into an array of languages for Middlesbrough's diverse communities.
More than 1,000 leaflets are being hand-delivered to non-English speakers this week in Newport and North Ormesby.
The letters will also be available to view and download from the Coronavirus pages of the Middlesbrough Council website.
The guidance is aimed at keeping people safe and halting the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, and has been translated into 17 languages.
The letters are being delivered to homes and handed out to those on the street and by Middlesbrough Council's team of Street Wardens.
The advice covers the need to stay at home, housing and welfare advice and support and what to do for those displaying Coronavirus symptoms.
Languages covered include:
"However we have a diverse population in Middlesbrough, and there are those who will benefit from seeing these messages in their own language.
"It's vital that all our communities understand how important this is, and we hope these translations will both inform and reassure residents."
