Coventry Kick off moved for TV

Gyokeres was the reason they beat us in the second leg
Both him and Hamer showed Chuba and Archer up that night.

We might have had 2 of the better goalscorers on the pitch that night, based on the season, but those two showed their class in the biggest game of the season (at the time).

Certainly didnt destroy us.

As I said he did what he needed to do for his team. He was quietly effective, and that combined with our strikers going missing was more than enough on the night.

Destroyed us 😂

Give over.

He didn't have a shot.

Destroyed us so much that neutral commentary were mentioning how quiet he'd been over the tie.
I'm old school.

I do this thing called watching the game rather than just a series of stats.

I'm not sure what his xg was or how far he ran but I know we would have won the game if Cov had had a more average champo forward up there.

Olivier Giroud played in every game for France at the World Cup in 2018. They won that World Cup with a lot of pundits suggesting Giroud was a huge part of that reason...even Deschamps said he was a 'vital cog' in that team.

Giroud didn't have a single shot on target throughout that whole tournament....therefore, based on STATS he must have been shlte.

I'm old school in that I don't think a striker has destroyed us when they haven't personally threatened our goal to a great degree.
I was at the game too, so no need for the snide comment or the weird attempt at a stats argument.

I just don't agree that a striker can destroy somebody without scoring or creating a huge opportunity.
I suppose you can count the goal as he tried to shoot at goal and made a simple pass when that didn't work, but that's not destroying somebody.

Coventry deserved to win on the night, they missed a gilt edge chance just before they took the lead through a stunning strike, we had almost no chances.

In no way were we destroyed by him.

But the tone from yourself and Marvanelli has gotten unpleasant, so I'll bow out.
