If you catch on the way up anywhere usually much better than seeing them at the top after a while. Almost every band I have ever seen has been better on the way up. I go now and again to bigger venues as for instance Dylan and Neil Young at Hyde Park but have seen both better in smaller venues.

Another bonus of seeing a band on their way up is people actually watch and enjoy the gig rather than standing there recording it on their phone.
