I think the term is big unit, biggest unit I have seen playing test match cricket. think dwayne leverock

its disgraceful a proffesional sportsman is as heavy as he is, lets not beat about the bush here, regardless of how talented he is, hes not a sumo wrestler, he's a cricketer, and his team have to accomodate him when fielding, you can;t use him as an outfielder for a start

Looks decent as a slip fielder, nothing wrong with his reflexes.

Its not disgraceful if he's a good spin bowler, he doesn't owe anyone anything. This is his second test so its a bit early to judge, but he has an impressive first class record.

He has a good first class record as a bowler, but cricket is a team game, i actually like cornwall, i think he's a good spinner, just imagine how good a cricketer he could be if he lost weight, its not as if hes a boxer and needs the weight, its restricting him and its restricting his team, especially runnign between the wickets and fielding, there is no excuse to be so heavy as a proffesional sportsman

I agree with you that he is 'a big unit' and an unlikely asset to a modern day professional sports team.

What we don't know is the reason he is the size he is. I'm sure he has tried to slim down but for some reason it hasn't worked.

But he can down a yard of ale. Who knows how losing weight might affect his ability to do that. Morale boosting, as you say, team game.

No doubt he is a big fella, but there's been others, though maybe not to his size

Mike Gatting wouldn't ever be described as "svelte". Warne was a bit of a chubber too and Botham didn't get his nickname for his 'hiding behind a broom shank' party trick. Merv Hughes and Arjun Ranatunga were both on the portly side as well

I'd take your post more seriously if you could spell professional or accommodate..................

Accommodate him? Do you mean like England had to do with Phil "the cat" Tuffnell - stuck him out of harm's way on the boundary
