Some people make very strange choices at football matches.
Well, it’s not Carlisle’s fault, but it is strange the sort of things people do. It really does bring out the worst in some people.Carlisle has apologised and are looking to find out who the fans are.

With them using terms like “go hang yourself” that probably isn’t a great idea, ban them for life and make them famous.Ban them for a season and make them do x amount of hours at a suicide prevention team.
What do they learn from just being banned though? With them using terms like “go hang yourself” that probably isn’t a great idea, ban them for life and make them famous.
No one is saying it is Carlisle's fault, but I am sure they don't want fans like this following them.Well, it’s not Carlisle’s fault, but it is strange the sort of things people do. It really does bring out the worst in some people.
All clubs have fans like this.No one is saying it is Carlisle's fault, but I am sure they don't want fans like this following them.
They know they aren’t welcome and if possible I’d bring any criminal charges available. What do they learn from just being banned though?
It doesn't have to be football, it can be life in general. We've seen idiots on this board coming out with rubbish towards each other without knowing the other posters circumstances. All clubs have fans like this.
I’m talking about the individuals who say this sort of stuff, to people they don’t even know. The club they support is irrelevant really.
I agree, but I’d say I see/hear this sort of nonsense in football related settings more than any other. It doesn't have to be football, it can be life in general. We've seen idiots on this board coming out with rubbish towards each other without knowing the other posters circumstances.
Fu.cking hell.
Imagine what goalkeepers and opposing players would have posted if social media had been available in the 70s and 80s after playing in front of the Holgate.
I'm not sure about this. I think he might be being a little bit over sensitive, if I am honest. Not a popular view, I understand.
Well yeah, imagine. It was an awful way to behave back then as well.Fu.cking hell.

I’m just saying that football seems to bring out the bad in some folk. If I was coming out with this sort of thing at matches I think I’d be having a long hard word with myself about whether I should be attending such events.I’m guessing this will have been the highlight of their lives.. getting under the skin of a professional footballer. Not a nice thing to say.. but let’s not get carried away.
Dikcheads are dikcheads.. I doubt very much they will be thinking about anything.I’m just saying that football seems to bring out the bad in some folk. I’m not really crying out for punishment as such, hopefully these folk have a conscience; even if only in retrospect.
