Congrats Luton

I wanted cov to go up. Lutons football if you can call it that is awful. Cov belong there more than luton ever will but thats my sentiment and it means f all. Now its all about what we do next year and i believe if you think this year was good for us then watch us go next year. Total faith in carrick woody, the team and the club

Will have one non descript season in the premiership. Should not be allowed in the Premiership with a Northern league stadium.very

very hot favourites to go down, but promotion guarantees their property deal. They are very unlikely to blow their premeir money. 9 years ago they had nothing. In 2 years they will have a new ground up the road, enveloped by 1,500 flats, and their finances secure for the moment.

The guy who tried with Charlton said "every London club is a property deal". Greenwich Council said buy a site in the Borough for the ground, agreed with the supporters, and THEN you can you can build apartments. As he couldn't, he left them in the ****.

At the end of the day, the league table doesn't lie. Luton were the 3rd best team in the Championship this season so fair play to them for getting the job done and getting over the line via the play offs. The football they play isn't pretty and they're certainly not as easy on the eye as we are but it's a results business and they've been consistent all season. Rob Edwards is a likeable guy and I thought his post match interview was excellent, very respectful towards Coventry and his only concern at that time was for Lockyer.

I wish it was us of course but we go again next season hopefully with a hunger to bounce back from the play off disappointment.

Edwards was equally modest after our game at Kenilworth Rd. Like him.

Glad they went up. Will enjoy the premier league fan boys moaning about their little stadium and saying they shouldn’t be there because of it….. As if sporting achievement should be denied because a club is too small to be successful! Mental.
What would be the point of sport at all, if the small outfits weren’t allowed to enjoy the rewards of their successes?
Well done Luton! Hope they have a few good days next year and get their new stadium from their sporting success.

Nailed on
Saturday August 5th
Boro v Coventry
4 on the trot for us against them
So pleased luton done it so we don’t need to go back to that tin pot ground and tight unfair pitch against a load of route one players

And, I can’t believe Coventry will be able to hold onto gykores so Coventry will be a tough team to beat without him but a totally different team without him and weaker.
All good for Boro

Well said. Couldn't agree more. All this talk of fan base, tinpot club, sh1t ground etc. It's like being on the Sunderland forum. This is what football is all about. Teams punching above their weight and achieving something. I saw something the other day regarding the highest wage bills in the Championship. Luton were ranked 20th and they've finished 3rd so fair play to them.

We were 8th highest if anyone is interested.

I’m super pleased for them and chuffed we don’t have to go to that ground again because I believe it’s not very fair given it’s size and my main concern is Boro and us getting promoted

Yes of course and that was my main concern too, Boro going up is the only thing that matters to me but as soon as we were out of the picture, I wasn't against a Luton win just because of the size of their ground/fan base.

Bournemouth - with their tiny little ground have done really well considering.
The "Big" teams have no right to anything - irregardless of what commercial sports radio and the papers say.
You are only as good as your last match.
Its blood money and foreign millions which buys football - and not always successfully either.

So long as it's safe, it shouldn't matter a jot how big their ground is or what it looks like.

Football should be about what happens on the pitch, not what's off it.

Well done to them: first team I've known go down 4 divisions, then come all the way back up.

Only signed 1 player for over£1m in their history too, so it can't be said they've thrown money at it

Good luck to Luton, they deserve it for me. They finished third after all, let’s not forget.
If I had my way, I’d scrap the playoffs and make it top three automatic promotion.

Awful idea that would basically end the season just after the halfway point for most teams.

There's a reason they were introduced in the first place.

The play-offs are brilliant.
