Communication from the Club

Whilst I agree that more communication would be welcome, do any other clubs really communicate more than Boro? I'm not sure this is a specific problem for Boro, but football in general.

Hull recently released a statement when their negotiations fell through with Pedro Martin.

We're not even sure who our main candidate is.

There's been rampant fear in the fanbase for days because of uncontested rumours about Cattermole getting the job.

Not suggesting Hull are a club to copy, but that's better than radio silence.

Tbf when Gibson does communicate with fans, it's been used as a stick to beat him with - how often do we hear about smashing the league or him backing the local tories

Should definitely push something out though

Wilder will definitely be on gardening leave

We were still paying AK previously, we took monk to court for breaking his. Woodgate was still "at the club" for a while. It's how we operate

To be fair I think it’s Scott that should be making the statement. He’s the Head of Football and it’s the football we’re worried about! I suspect they will have all have understood the general feelings of the supporters yesterday. Here’s hoping for some news on Monday

I have read all the comments on this thread and don’t disagree with comments regarding poor communications from the Club’s hierarchy. However, what does make me chuckle, despite the growing discontent with the Chairman, the fans still sing “Stevie Gibson is King” - Really!!
Either of the following may count:
1) They can’t make up a new song.
2) They actually believe he is the King.
3) They are hypocrites, and still slate him when they finish singing that chant,
Yes, I’ve got my tin hat on and am standing by for the pelters coming my way, but the fans can’t have it both ways (can they?)

In the late 80’s with Rioch’s team it felt like we were all in in together. It couldn’t be more different now. It feels just like the preceding years to that era. Such a shame

Gibson has different priorities now. He is moving with his Tory friends building his executive portfolio and looking ahead with Boro in his rear view mirror. Never seem talking to the fans as a priority

Funny isn't it, lots of games won and two promotions and we're all in it together.

Can you imagine if we'd finished mud table in the third division and spent a few years there like those up the road?

It wasn’t just the winning of games and promotions it was supporting a team and a manager who all gave 100% and actually punched way above their weight because of that.

There were 3 England internationals in that side. They weren't punching above their weight, they were good footballers thrown together at the same time due to poor club management over a long period.

It took us a while to get more than 10k to go to Ayresome that first season under Rioch, let's not pretend the fans got behind the team from the off. If we'd been mid table it wouldn't have happened at all.

Do you remember that Monty Python sketch - am I in the right place for an argument?
