Comes to something when even the RSPB

Is this the same RSPB that sold land at Saltholme to a private company to build a gas fired power plant ? Land that they told us was used as a feeding ground for Curlews ? The same Curlews that they had previously told us were in decline ?

Please accept my humble apologies for upsetting the board Royalty....I consider myself reprimanded and will fall in line with any future posts 😒

I don't think you've upset anyone, and not sure who the 'royalty' are, that you're referring to?

I will be gutted if this is true. Over the last five years we have transitioned our farm from an intensive dairy operation to a sustainable grass fed beef and sheep business. We have fenced off land for wildlife, started growing herbal leys in place of nutrient hungry rye grass and invested in infrastructure to protect hedgerows, woodland and water quality. This process doesn't happen overnight and we still have a long way to go. Without EU subsidies we couldn't of achieved what we have so far. The Elms scheme was to replace the EU scheme and a lot of time, money and effort has been put into planning it. How much damage is this government going to do to before it is thrown out at the next election :(

The same power plant that got to being almost completed/fully constructed and then moth balled and now just sits their awaiting a potential buyer? 🙈

They will sacrifice everything on the altar of Brexit.

Well we desperately need more land for housing. We also have some of the most onerous planning systems in the world, so something has got to give.

Have you seen the new cramped housing estates in areas with no local shops, transport and education facilities that developers get away with in this country?
