Come on, Gibbo, our performances are embarrassing

Didn’t take long for adding such a valuable contribution. Hope your head isn’t buried too far in the sand….
Nope, that’ll be Gibson until he recognises he has let down Warnock with a few dodgy decisions like payero and lack of funds elsewhere.
No captain, no centre half unless we play Hall who’s league 2 material

I don't agree with this "we have a good squad, we have good players, the tactics are wrong, hoof all is not for us". This group of players are poor let's not kid ourselves. They would not be capable of playing a slick pass and move style. How many players from our squad would make it into any of the top six teams?
Worrying times.
Exactly this. When your summer shopping takes you to Wycombe, Rotherham & Billaricy(sp) coupled with recruiting players not deemed good enough to keep by fellow Championship clubs, you're going to be heading in one direction only.

I am not backwards in coming forward to criticise Gibbo. However we recruited extensively. Some decent, some no better than squad fillers - the bottom line is Gibbo sanctioned the rebuilding putting his trust in Warnock?

Frankly he has been rewarded with a dysfunctional, unbalanced squad performing nowhere near the level required to win games.

So I feel for Gibbo - as Warnock has let him and us down. That’s the bottom line - no bed wetting here just applying logic to a team/ squad underperforming in what is largely a mediocre league.

If you don’t get this - well I feel for you

It's weird that this all because of the summer recruitment.

But all the same failings we've had since January are present, when Warnock dropped a third of the squad who had got us into play off contention to play his wingers that he'd desperately wanted.

Our form over the last 46 games would see us finish around 15th if it was a full season, our form since early January sees us even lower in the league.

This squad of players isn't that bad, have Coventry got a significantly better squad than us? Huddersfield? Blackburn? Reading (who had 10 players injured when we barely laid a glove on them).

Have Derby with Rooney at the helm got a stronger squad and a more experienced coaching set up than us?

He's not infallible, we've been mainly dreadful since January, he's leaving in 8 months anyway, regardless of how much some on here worship his cult.

If we lose the next two, which is quite possible, that should be the end of his tenure.

We had all this when Mowbray was manager, his final calendar year was utterly dreadful and there were plenty defending him as he didn't have the squad and had had to cost cut, but Karaka came in and made us organised and very difficult to beat in a week or two.

I'm a supporter of the club, not Neil Warnock.

And, as such, it really is time to act. Fans will put up with dire performances with one main condition, that the team wins games.

Presently? We look a long way off putting any form of a winning run together. Outdated tactics, playing hoofball is not the answer.

Against a patched up team yesterday we could barely lay a glove on them. Frankly the lacklustre performance was lame and insipid and the application was a long way short of what was required.

A defence that as the game wore on showed flaws in shape and marking. A midfield that was largely anonymous. Forwards that have a makeshift defence one of the easiest games it could wish to have.

It is largely viewed we have a better bunch of players compared to last season- albeit unbalanced.

Yet performances remain hard on the eye and results hard to stomach.

Are you really satisfied with this ineptitude currently shown? I like Warnock - but it appears his main contribution is now as a media performer- certainly this is better than his managerial contributions to gaining points.

Being nearer the bottom of the division than the top is, frankly, utterly demoralising. It is often cited players stop playing for a manager - are we at this stage?

One thing is for sure, the excuses cited after every game are fooling no one. It is our tactics, application and general malaise as a team/ squad.

Sadly, it has reached a point where action is needed.
I think it's 11 wins in 38 games this calendar year....he should be gone already. Neil with all due respect F.... O... please, your tactics are stoneage

The funny things is, if he was using his old technique, say Uche up top with Crooks playing off him, going direct fast and early, getting good quality balls into the box for the big lads to scrap for I could sort of forgive him for that. Working good set plays, putting teams under a physical and psychological press, being mean, in your face and hard to beat.

But we're nothing like that, we don't seem to do anything well. We don't counter, we don't have pace, we don't press teams well, we don't defend well, we don't create much and our set pieces are usually awful.

If there were improvements in one or two areas while we still struggled in others I could forgive him, and still support him.

But everything that has been wrong since January is still happening pretty much every week.

Yeah at least you could see a plan then. Now I see nothing.

caught between two stools.

Technical players brought in, that we need to find a way to utilise, yet a manager who is dogmatic about direct football

Have we put an appeal in on Crooks? In a way I hope he is suspended we will have to play it on the ground with build up play if he isn't in. Siliki, Howson and Payero in CM is some passing ability

This is exactly the issue, which is why I think most of the signings weren’t Warnocks because he wouldn’t of bought payero, siliki, sporaz,
He wanted tough nuts to get us out of this division but he’s been blindsided by a new DOF and a chairman that says one thing and looks to be doing another.
Something has to give because you can tell Warnock doesn’t believe in this bunchand whose to blame him when he has not one leader (like a grant leadbitter)

Not one leader. In this situation we are heading nowhere fast.

He said himself that is a big part of the reason he brought Bamba and Peltier in, Howson was a captain, as was Hall, wasn't Morsy captain at Wigan too?

'no leaders' seems like an easy throw away for an underperforming team that looks unmotivated and unsure of what they are trying to achieve.

Did we have more leaders in the first half of last season with Britt wearing the armband when we were in play-off contention till January when wonder Warnock got his own signings in?

Yes we haven't got anyone out there boIIocking the players and motivating them, but that looks like a malaise throughout the squad, and that comes from the manager and coaching set up.

Pulis finished 6th and 7th and always had us in the promotion chasing pack...Gibson let him depart because of some people's intolerance of his football

Since he left we've been mostly dreadful and nowhere near the promotion pack. We should have stuck with him

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but the second season under Pulis is the worst football I've watched in my life, I think its being over generous to even call it football.

I remember times under him where we played 4 centre backs and 5 central midfielders, it was horrific. I'd rather the team got relegated to the non leagues by trying to play the right way than ever have him back here.

I'm not a football snob either, I enjoyed the Karanka football which was built on being solid but Pulis sucked all enjoyment out of the game for me.

I'm still in disbelief at those who gave Aitor Karanka a good shoeing, then declared that it would be easy to find a replacement and push on. Yet we seem to be regressing a bit by bit each season and those same fans don't have the bottle to hold their hands up and say 'we got it wrong'.

I was lucky enough to hold a home and away season ticket consecutively for the period over the Mowbray, Karanka, Monk and Pulis reigns. Karankas era was the best and most enjoyable period i've been to as a Boro Fan in a long time. Great memories with friends and family, a noticeable improvement to the team's ability overnight, excellent calibre and character of players, a real bond with the team.

Give me that back anytime. To think for all Aitors good work he was cast aside after the initial PL season went wrong. Burnley stuck with Dyche despite relegation and allowed them to eventually become established in the Premier League. Why didn't Karanka get that luxury?

We should have sacked Karanka once we'd git promoted. Would have seemed harsh, but a manager with a more proven track record would have been better in the PL.

Ancient history now however. Shame, as former rivals like Burnley, Brighton, Watford & Bournemouth have all had decent PL stints while we've been back in the Championship.

This is nonsense
We didn’t have the squad for the Premiership
Gibson didn’t spend enough
