Started with a cough yesterday, had an horrendous nights sleep and feel absolutely rotten today (headachey, weak, cough still) so was wondering what you wise, wonderful people would recommend to possibly speed up the recovery process? Much appreciated 😑😑

this is the worst one i've ever had... about 14 days in - 5 - really bad days, now just snot fest & short of breath if I try & get some exercise (walk) - Vaseline for nose else it's red raw with constant blowing, vics nasal spray help unlock & esp when trying to sleep... rest & fluids..

Lemsips normally do the trick for me but I obviously have a very severe case this time, much to the wifes derision. Just want to go to bed but builders are working inside. I am on annual leave as well which seems totally unfair. Definitely feeling sorry fir myself.

Haha I am on annual leave as well. Was meant to painting a room today but had to put it on hold

Hot lemonade and paracetamol. Caffeine speeds and enhances the action of paracetamol so follow with tea/coffee/cola/energy drink. Of a night add a measure of your favourite spirit (vodka, rum, whisky, etc.) Vitamin D and C will help you recover.

Regular paracetamol, ot will keep your temperature down.

I've had it since been in Prague at the weekend, which was absolutely packed, so no surprise really.

Out of interest, of those who have it how many have had the flu jab? I've had it and I suspect it's keeping the severity of mu symptoms at bay?

The nurses I used to work with swore by paracetamol and ibuprofen. Lemsips and Beecham just an excuse to get more money when the other stuff is just as effective. I also drink hot juice (cherries and berries) to have that lemsip affect.
I’ve had 1 day off in just over 5 years, think I will be off tomorrow too.
Get well soon!

No jabs for me. Been I’ll probably 3 days since Tuesdays through the night and first thing this morning was the worse for me clocking around 38.5 on the thermometer this morning

Either covid/flu I would imagine

Drown the ****** in rum. I usually find it helps me for about 2 hours before bed when I’ve got a glow on, and then the next morning I forget all about the cold…. as I nurse the inevitable hangover.
Doesn’t actually help the cold. At all.

Started on Monday and still suffering. Worst bout I've had in years. Ment to have flu jab but forgot to sort it and now paying price. Its certainly a good vintage this year.
