Closing Minutes of Middlesbrough Supporters Forum

Here was one appeal on mfc - it was back on October 30th 2025 - so has been quite a lengthy process - because of interviews and working closely with FSA.

The club is set to launch a new Fan Advisory Panel – and interested supporters are asked to apply to join the group.

We have worked with Middlesbrough Supporters Forum for almost a decade now, but with the new Football Governance Bill and the Independent Football Regulator, we are seeking a wider group to join what will be initially known as our Fan Advisory Panel.

We are working closely with the Football Supporters Association on the implementation of the new panel in order to ensure our fanbase is as widely represented as possible and that all supporters are able to apply for a position within the group.

As a club we pride ourselves on working with supporters, listening to views and opinions, and taking that input on board when many decisions are made.

We are now looking to build on that with the implementation of a new group, and we want to hear more of the voices of our terrific supporter-base.

Initially, during the transition, the FAP will comprise of six members of the current MSF board, who will represent their individual supporter groups, and we are seeking applications from both individuals and representatives of other supporter groups. In total, there will be 14 members of the FAP plus club representatives.

Applications are now open for the opportunity to join the group.

The closing date for applications is Monday 10 November (12 noon).

If you have any queries please email Head of Supporter Engagement Craig McManus

Will be succeeded by new Fan Advisory Panel - working title - but this will be launched in the summer. The new FAP members were selected after interview by FSA and Boro from fans applying.

But here for now is the closing set of minutes for Middlesbrough Supporters Forum.
Where is the link for the minutes?

It appears the club have excluded some existing members of the supporters forum from the advisory panel without any real justification which is disappointing.

Who has been excluded?
There were interviews.

But the constituents are now those representing supporter groups and also some independents not representing supporter groups.
But then the idea is that the Panel networks with different groups of supporters beyond that.

And the end game would be for the Panel to one day be elected - whether that is viable I don't know.
But not my call.
