A Clint Eastwood story, when he turned up to a screen test for A Fistful of dollars Sergio Leonne (not sure of the spelling) said to Clint "I love it that you came dressed as a cowboy!" To which Clint responded "What do you mean? I always dress like this". As I understand it, he wasn't wearing a poncho!

When I was a kid I remember going past the ABC cinema on Linthorpe Rd seeing 'Dirty Harry' listed as X-rated.

I thought it was a rude sex film for grown ups.

And I still wouldn't mess with the guy. Watched Escape from Alcatraz the other night, first Eastwood film I've watched in a while.

Got to love Unforgiven. Just before that climactic scene where he walks into the bar to confront Little Bill and carnage ensues. He's with the kid and hears that Ned's been killed, Clint takes the top off the whiskey bottle and takes a proper swig and you think, "Oh here we f**kin' go..."

Yes he does. Bumped into him the other day. He asked me to apologise. Seemed quite sure that I would. I just laughed it off. But he didn't seem to think it funny me laughing.
