Clarkson sacked by Amazon

Jeremy Clarkson is good on Who wants to be a Millionaire. Love how he asks all the questions and he knows quite a few of the answers also. He's not as daft as people think...the irony is that he actually is a 'Millionaire' himself ...
 
Man this is sad news. Clarksons farm and the grand tour are both excellent. Crazy world isn't it? One mis step and your career is ruined. It's a perma offended planet we love on. Everyone will upset someone on social media. Shouldn't lose jobs over a single post

It is a shame if it comes to fruition. And it will just back up the crazy right when they claim cancel culture woke nonsense blah.

It was an abhorrent article but it would appear he even emailed H & M to apologise of his own back. I think he knows he was in the wrong. A step too far ending such great programmes as Clarkson's Farm and GT.
 
I said at the time that Clarkson doesn't actually mean the comments he wrote. It's his laddish sense of humour and an attempt at being funny. He badly misjudged what reaction it would receive and if anything it's very poor from the awful Sun newspaper for publishing rubbish like that.

Amazon were always likely to end their arrangement with him. It's hard to have any sympathy.
 
The media should be cancelling Megan and Harry giving them no more publicity of made up exaggerated garbage that is pulling this country through the dirt

Yeah that's how I feel. It was a really bad article. But it was one mis step. it appears he thought he was being funny. I don't knwo many people who get sacked for telling a single, mistimed joke.

I'm not painting it as anyones fault. Why, in the modern world, does everything have to be so divisive? "Oh you defend Clarkson therefore you hate Meghan, and are probably raicst".

No, it doesn't work like that outide of social media. Peeopel have opinions, they differ, they discuss, they either agree or decide they don't. So no, don't think in defending Clarkson I'm attackign someone else. I've said the article is wrong. The perma angry world we live in though dictates the following: Man makes a mistake, man shoudl therefore be deprived of a lviing, tarred and feathered and forever ostracised from society. I can't get with that modern thinking. I really can't

"More violent"? He's hit two people in his entire life. One lost him his job and cost the BBC millions. the other was Piers Morgan ergo, doesn't count.

There was, for example, a post earlier that literally said oh great no more Grand Tour, thanks Meg 🙄

It’s hard to feel sorry for him, he knew exactly what he was doing with that article and what the reaction would be. No surprise Amazon don’t want any further association with him.
Sad that something as minor as this has clearly wound him up so much to the extent he felt he needed to write that
