IMHO Rumours has to be the closest thing to the perfect album .
i.e. There is not one average song on this album.
All Mod Cons - The Jam and Aladdin Sane - Bowie are my 2 favourite albums , but each one contains at least one track which doesn't measure up to the rest . Where Rumours is damn near flawless , considering the mountains of drugs , relationship break ups and God knows what else , it's incredible it was ever completed.
Songbird has to be one of the best love songs of all time.

That’s probably why it was in the album charts for most of our lives.
She'd left Chicken Shack by then but did appear there with them in either 68 or 69

It was a year or two ago. I just remember her sitting on the stage at the piano playing that song. It was love at first sight!
