Chris Wilder I have complete confidence in him.

McNair was terrible in midfield when he played their last season. He doesn't have the pace or energy we are crying out for. And he's no more creative than McGree.
That’s true - maybe they could ask him to just sit in front of the defence an let Howson free a bit more. Think we just need to shore things up a bit till we get someone in to replace Tav. We’re very exposed with two wingbacks who aren’t great at defending

Wilder need to get some of his team selections sorted out, he was lacking at the end of last season. His starting line up today cost us points.

Like the last few managers, he’s not getting backed from above. Today was disappointing. Massively short on numbers no matter what any sycophant says.
The starting line up was disappointing. Which was down to CW the second half was pretty good. CW need to sort his first eleven out ASAP

I said after he kept his options open for Burnley I’d back him if he’s delivering. But if you factor in our ***** end to last season, we’ve been poor for a while now.

Time to show us why people rave about you Chris.

The club need to back him.
We need bodies through the door.
Name your "first eleven" -" ASAP"

disappointing start but when I looked at fixtures kind a thought we might only have a point or two after the first 4 games, Shef Utd will also be a tough one next week, but weirdly not too worried still think we will do well and be around the top 3 once we get going !
Blimey. I'd love to be as optimistic as you .. :ROFLMAO:

Looking at how anemic the squad looks right now, the starting lineup and bench yesterday showed it and worried me ... it is OK if our fans have confidence the recruitment team is doing their job and bringing in the reinforcements we need, but it appears throughout the window so far, we have lost out to every main attacking targets or there are struggles going on and on to the point we are looking at 2nd,3rd,4th choice. Things have dragged, then the loss of Tavernier compounded things further

We have profited from the sales of Tav and Spence and weeks ago people were expecting far more progress by now regarding; incomings .. there was an air of positivity and real expectation, I can't believe how much it's changed

Muniz/Hoppe will be in next week by the looks of things, but along with Forss, etc .. these are all unproven players we're gambling on doing the job. To complete the window there are another couple of areas we need to strengthen when we take injuries, etc into account .. though well done Forss getting a goal yesterday. Shame it couldn't have been in better circumstances

I thought the window started so well with the arrival of Steffen, Giles (who looks excellent), and Lenihan (who was beyond a joke yesterday, though) .. but since, if anything it feels we are weaker as a squad in midfield and upfront right now, far too weak if people are expecting promotion, seriously??. . I didn't for a second think I would see Akpom in a Boro shirt again under Chris Wilder, though he has played alright to be fair while we have needed him

I guess once the window closes it may turn out we have done business where it needed to be done, though we have left it late ... I think the arrivals of Muniz/Hoppe will be about it but we need upgrades in midfield after losing Tav, and I aren't seeing any progress where that is concerned reading around online and elsewhere.

If we make a profit on Spence/Tavernier at least a significant portion of the fees should be put on a like-for-like replacement otherwise what, are we just a feeder club happy being mid-table in the second tier???

This Larsen thing sounded exciting but now not happening. Apparently, us refusing to pay the little extra they wanted, even if they went back on their word last minute why not just pay what they wanted?? He seems an excellent player.

We could end up with a decent squad once the window closes, but top 3 .. there's no way that is happening with this squad ha ha

Drag up my post at the end of the season if we finish top-three, even top-six! I will apologise

The only thing that encourages me though is the amount of service the strikers will have to feed off with Giles, he is even better than I was expecting, and wish we owned him. If Jones gets going too, then it could get interesting. Even our Nanna could score at least 15 a season with that kind of back up

I will make a prediction now though. Crooks will end up our top scorer again, and Wilder won't be here, come the end of the season. We will finish the top half though. :ROFLMAO:

We cannon get this side promotion ready this year, it just isnt possible. There is way too much to do, 5 players wouldn't be enough. Chris Wilder is a great manager, were lucky to have him but we are not a club that is ready to commit to a promotion push. Were 3 years away minimum. I wouldn't get anyone else through the door apart from a couple of loan strikers so we have a couple of options. The whole spine of the team needs replacing, and I'm sorry to say this. I enjoy following boro no matter where we are but o see no point in blowing 30 million on a side that has no chance whatsoever, let's build this up over time. Right now we ARE a mid table side at best with a gap thats way too big between us and the top

My only issue with him is that he absolutely cast iron bolted to one way of playing. Once teams figure you out you need to have the flexibility to change it up. When Sheffield United got figured out in the Premier League it ended really badly cos he wouldn’t change it.
Karnaka only had one way to playing, if we get promoted playing swashbuckling football is take that.

The problem with that is there no chance Steffen or Giles and probably new loan forwards coming in will be here then. We are going to have to rebuild and rebuild each season with a new set of loans getting to know the rest of the team.

I dont blame Wilder for today. The players mentality is just so questionable. How can you play well v the baggies and put in a performance like that. Similar to Preston last season. The players are too comfortable and most have no pressure on their place in the team. Until we get more options for Wilder the players are just going to coast. Some need their noses putting out of joint. He gave Dijksteel both barrels post match.
I do he started McGree in central midfield did he not learn from Preston last season. He can't play there he is powder puff

Yes thats it, we may be 5 years off but we will almost certainly need to do this one bit at a time. We absolutely won't be doing it this year wether we spend 2 million or 30 million
