Childcare

My wife’s a key worker, in working from home. My daughter is nearly 2. I have to conduct customer interviews lasting 2.5 hours

When my wife and I are both scheduled to work what should I do for childcare:
A) keep child at home and work around her
B) find a childminder/nursery
C) continue to use family as that what’s we did before hand
D) take unpaid leave work

Which of these are allowable under government guidance. I’ve been looking at it an hour an I’m non the wiser

You probably shouldn't do A for an under 2 as they will need the care.
You can't do B as you're not a key worker.
You can't do C for obvious reasons.
You could do D.
You could try Wilfs suggestion (postpone rather than cancel) if the company allows.
You could ask your company for special leave?

I'd suggest that you rearrange the interviews for when your child is either in bed and asleep or when your wife is around to take care of them. Most companies will understand and be flexible, as it's completely uncharted territory we're in here.

I've done at least 3 calls today where people have had their kids either on their knee or in close proximity so they can keep their eye on them.

Everyone is adapting and doing what they can to keep going.
