Chelsea vs Leicester Match Thread

I like Kasper and a very underrated keeper in my eyes.

I was just discussing with the missus, he’s obviously Danish, but has spent most of his life in England, speaks perfect English and better than a lot better than a lot of natives, does he feel a little bit English?

Looked off from the start to me, VAR was closer than I thought. At least my tenner held up 😄
Yes, I called it off on the first replay it didn't help that for some reason the line that they drew from Chillwell was in a dark colour and didn't show up very clearly but there was a clear gap.

I actually thought VAR got that one right. Wasn't as bad as some of the daft decisions this season (although I accept that isn't a huge endorsement)!

Oh don’t get me wrong, it is consistent on offside, I’ll admit. The problem is the technology is not wholly accurate in its measurements, to be offside by mm is therefore guesswork for me.

Gets in Chelsea, Arsenals, Tottenham’s, and Man Uniteds team for me. Surprised no one has taken him off Leicester again but I’m glad they haven’t. He’s a Leicester legend.

Well done Leicester. Pleased for them
Tielemans was outstanding today never mind the goal, and some solid performances around the team.

However I was looking forward to another 30 mins of footy, bloody VAR 😆

The fans have to make the FA cup matter, if it matters to the fans it will matter to football.
Reduced tickets and people don't turn up, I can sort of understand the bigger clubs putting it down their list of priorities but surely it matters to every other club.
By us showing it doesn't seem to matter seems to have allowed the clubs to think the same.

Absolutely, I’m surprised he’s never been snapped up by a “top European club” but let’s be honest he could have gone to say Arsenal and won less than he has at Leicester.

I enjoyed that.
Wembley stadium with fans in it.
Fantastic goal
Two world class saves
Chelsea goal ruled out by VAR
I still think Festa's goal should have stood so I especially enjoyed that.
I am looking forward to the euros and next season now.
Feeling optimistic.
Football is a curse sometimes but when it's good it's really good.

I'm glad he stayed at Leicester but Arsenal have won more than Leicester since Schmeichel was properly on the radar.

Even including today, Arsenal have won 2 FA Cups to Leicester's 1 since the title win.

Glad VAR gave Leicester the justice they deserved, even sweeter that it was Chilwell who was offside

Fair enough, there was no stat checking from my side, but the point remains he has won more with Leicester than he probably ever imagined. And he definitely wouldn’t have won a league title with arsenal.

Was there a VAR check for Leicester's goal? Surely it was a nailed on handball?
From the Premier League Site.

If an attacking player accidentally touches the ball with their hand or arm and then scores a goal, or the ball goes to another attacking player and they immediately score, this is a handball offence.

But it is not a handball offence if after an accidental handball the ball travels some distance via a pass or a dribble, or there are several passes before the goal or goalscoring opportunity.
