Check your android phone...

So someone posted about this on twitter earlier so thought I'd have a look for myself.
Open your android phone settings, look for Google and it's right there. I definitely didn't download it manually, must have come as a system update.

That's the api that Google and Apple have been working on, you still need to download an app that actually uses it for it to be of any use.

Fcuking hell it is. This is now turing into a surveillance state like China. Next step is for the polis to be enabled to ping phones and arrest anyone who doesn't have bluetooth enabled. Then make it illegal to sell a phone unless bluetooth on it can't be turned off. It's only a matter of time.

Yep, just checked mine and my wife's and it's there in ours. Presumably on all Android devices?

Its a google micro service. On it's own it does nothing. You can use an API enabled app to use the API if you wish. All interactions with the API are voluntary and it is anonimized.

If Google updated the bluetooth service no one would complain. Honestly, I looked at the API and it is harmless.

Who cares about that Laughing, you've got 24 hours to get a profile picture. I can talk you through it if you like:ROFLMAO:
