Cheap but more than cheerful teatime food

smashed banana with evap or cond milk , then spread liberally on thick brown bread with a dollop of squirty canned cream. Follow up with a wagon wheel if you still in the game.

We had omelette and chips for tea last night. Very nice. It was as a result of my wife not getting anything out for tea.

Sometimes simple stuff is just right.

Not teatime, but I'm having bubble and squeak this morning 🙌

Not had it in years but saw a TikTok of some American making "British food" and it's brought it back.

Had it last Monday morning with mushrooms, a fried tomato, fried egg and a couple of rashers of streaky bacon, delicious.

Haven`t had them for a while but

Hot dogs in a bun, squirt of mustard, squirt of tommy sauce and a some fried onions

When I went round my grandma’s for tea as a kid I sometimes used to get potato fritters and chips.

Basically, battered and deep fried potato, served with a side of deep fried potato.

Depends where you are, here in the Midlands they’re Potato Fritters further north they’re scollops.
10p scollop in a roll sneaky school lunchtime treat

As boring as it is, when I was living on my own, I often came home from work - too knackered to do much - i would just boil some pasta and stir in two tablespoons of pesto. Green one night, red the next.
Sorted.
