Championship Predictor

I had us third on 84pts with Ipswich 2nd on 88pts, but that's with us losing against them. Get a result there and I think we will do it.......... No pressure lads.

Not how i expected it turn out. I was probably worse case for our games and maybe a bit generous with Ipswich - they do have some really big and potentially tough games.

I had this for our run in (leaning on the negative side)

Millwall - W
Swansea - D
Portsmouth - W
Ipswich - L
Sheff Wed - W
Watford - W
Wrexham - L

But turn that Ipswich game to a draw and we finish second.

Feel like 85 points is the target.
 
Middlesbrough - Currently 71pts + 15 = 86pts
Millwall (H) - 3pts
Swansea (A) - 1pt
Portsmouth (H) - 3pts
Ipswich (A) - 1pt
Sheff Wed (H) - 3pts
Watford (H) - 3pts
Wrexham (A) - 1pt

Ipswich - Currently 69pts + 16 = 85pts
Birmingham (H) - 3pts
Norwich (A) - 1pt
Portsmouth (A) - 3pts
'Boro (H) - 1pt
Charlton (A) - 3pts
West Brom (A) - 1pt
Southampton (A) - 1pt
QPR (H) - 3pts

I think Ipswich might lose a game on the road as their away form isn't the best and they have some tricky away games - but let's assume they don't, and they go 2pts per game from now until the end of the season....then that Ipswich (A) game really does make a huge huge difference to who could finish 2nd.

I've currently put it as a draw....and with the above predictions, that would have us finishing 1pt ahead of them in 2nd spot.

I feel like a win v Millwall would be pretty huge for us, although it's still not season defining if we don't win.

Few things we would very much like to hope for:
1) Norwich are still on fire in a couple weeks time.
2) Southampton still have something to play for in their penultimate game of the season. We do not want them already qualified for the PO's with the option of resting players and playing without the same intensity.
3) Ideally need to go into the Wrexham (A) game with the 'power' and a cushion - even if it's only 1pt....as that home fixture for Ipswich is very very favourable, whereas Wrexham (A) for us will be much more difficult, especially if they still have a sniff of a PO spot.

My last attempt had us finishing second on goal difference from Millwall. Ipswich another point back.

I had us drawing both Millwall and Ipswich games.
