Certain posters having different usernames

Does it actually bother anyone, it doesn't bother me in the slightest, if a poster wants to be Billy the kid today then Farmers Jones tomorrow so what, its their choice, as long as they're polite & courteous then I can't see the issue, if a poster, either double username, or a poster whose been on here for a while, comes on to just cause trouble then that's a different story entirely

Couldn't see anything wrong with Boro1876 either

I honestly couldn't work out if a poster has two usernames anyway

Many many moons ago you could post on the (really old) board with whatever name you liked so Bryan Robson, Pop Robson and Bobbie Robson might appear on a single thread. Oh those innocent fun filled days. Sadly now most multiple usernames are either "hilarious" comic inventions or sock puppet accounts to assist in bullying.

(A "sock puppet account" is one used by a troll to support an argument or to make an attack on a poster look like there is some sort of consensus behind the attack)

For this reason I think it is right that it is difficult to get an account on here and that it is important such accounts should be a matter of honesty. This isn't some sort of role playing game where we can all be wizards (or in the case of this board ex pros with multiple FIFA coaching badges) just be yourself. Sometimes that might mean that you end up on the naughty step but just try and behave and we will all get along just fine.

Boro1876 was rifle. Spotted by several posters and easily confirmed.

It's a bit boring ( but not annoying )watching the same person talking to himself using 2 names. Especially as it's the same itk joke each day

Rob has confirmed that BL has one username only on more than one occasion.
It's a bit boring (but not annoying) watching the same person WHO KEEPS BANGING ON ABOUT IT.

I was bothered when my mate erimus74‘s name on the old board was cleverly tweaked by someone on the new board to Erimus74 (changing the first letter many didn’t notice and assumed he was the same person) What have you done with my Old flyme mate, the old erimus74, I bet you are keeping him prisoner, locked in his attic amongst his memorabilia 😲

Actually once or twice I thought you 2 might be the same person until I twigged you had a full scale bromance going on. ;) :giggle:
