Central Mosque Open Day

People should go to this. I've been working out in the middle east for some time now and visited a few. Real eye opener and met some really good people there.
I approached them after Boro Fusion passed on the contact and they have been absolutely brilliant in setting everything up, creating posters, going on the radio - they are so enthusiastic about inviting us all in to look around and experience the mosque and learn all about the religion.

Still open until 5pm - I nipped down earlier in the afternoon and there is a big exhibition about Islam - brand new giant posters that they have ordered in especially for today's event.
On the hour an imam is taking questions and providing lots of answers discussing the mosque, Islam and the Muslim community the mosque serves in Middlesbrough. They are very welcoming and helpful and hopefully this sis something we can organise again - I was told that the doors are always open.

I had no idea this was going on, but I happened to be walking by there this afternoon and popped in. I've always been atheist, but I was curious because I've never been inside a mosque.

The people that run this place are some of the friendliest I've ever met. They knew I was atheist and made me feel really welcome. I'm not a convert or anything, but I can see how this place is amazing for the community. It was honestly a heartwarming experience.
