Celtic

No not quite, as In I would never want them to be seen again, what rangers have done since being relegated 3 divisions is nothing short of remarkable. The best team in Scottish football.
A club with that level of support were never going to be down for too long. It's a crime their owners allowed that to happen to them.

They are the best team in domestic Scottish football in terms of trophies won.

The best team Scottish football ever produced was a Celtic one - the Lisbon Lions.

As for the sectarian nonsense - they are both awful.

The objectively best team in Scottish football are Hibernian, because I follow them.

Well this thread has certainly thrown a spotlight on a few posters background.
Well I’m proud to declare Celtic are definitely MY second team 🇮🇪

Plenty of Scots I know hate Rangers and Celtic in equal measure. I remember one lad saying one thinks their Irish and the other wants to be English!

Both a great clubs though. There's no denying the size of each. I know loads of people who support both.

Having strong feelings either way towards either club helps fuel the blight of sectarianism, which should have no part in modern society, both clubs are as bad or as good as each other, I dislike the duopoly of Scottish football and the power skew of the Old Firm much more than either club individually, maybe my ideas of supporting a club are out of touch but I find the general animosity that pervades Celtic and Rangers massively out of proportion to the rivalry between other clubs, it has improved but still has a long way to go.

I was going to mention something similar too. The power that the Old Firm have over Scottish domestic football isn't good. The Cities of Edinburgh and Aberdeen have the resources to push them more, but Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen are way behind.

What is strange to me is when working in Aberdeen there was quite a lot local people who "supported" either Rangers or Celtic. Why not actually support your own bloody team? If they did there might be a better chance of stopping the Old Firm winning the league every single year.

This.

Unless you're legitimately a Rangers or Celtic fan (fair enough) what I suspect most people "hate" about one also applies to the other, albeit with a different spin on it. I'd be quite happy to see both disappear.
