A special event has been held to celebrate the invaluable work of volunteers at one of Middlesbrough’s community hubs.
The coffee morning at Marton Library & Community Hub was a thank you to all those who have given their time to support the library over the past ten years.
Middlesbrough Deputy Mayor Councillor Mieka Smiles presented volunteers with a certificate in recognition of their support.
Councillor Smiles said: “It was an absolute pleasure to visit the library and give my thanks to these wonderful volunteers.
“They have given countless hours of their time to keep this amazing community asset running over the last decade.
“I am so grateful for their efforts.”
(Used to be my library when I was a kid - lived a couple of streets away and was on the way to my school).
