Although from what Scott has said it sounds like there was something in the rumours when Wilder was asked about it.

So I suppose the problem wasn't just his answer but the fact he probably would've taken the Burnley job given the chance. He gave himself away.

For whatever reason his heart wasn't really in it here. His own worst enemy. But worked out well for us in the end.
