Carrick interview with Jimmy Floyd

Since our PL season Gibson has got alot wrong. The main thing he got wrong for me though was jumping from manager to manager on the day of the ex bosses sacking another took their place.
This time the key was time, we needed someone who fit us and we needed someone who felt they belonged at our club.
When calmer heads prevail this is the kind of man that is perfect for us. He's perfect for the squad and his quietness and calmness is ideal for a group that's used to being thrown under the bus.
The man oozes class. The man has worked wonders and long may it continue.
This is the man who will take us back up to the PL and its an absolute dead certainty he is destined for the very top in management

He comes across really well, very humble despite his obvious pedigree but you can see he’s clearly very intelligent when it comes to football.

Hopefully we are at the start of something special for him and us.

I love that he’s so humble. It’s a very endearing trait to have. Especially from someone so respected in the world of football
 
Diego you are absolutely spot on, it's all about getting excited about your team and looking forward to future success ,too many are always negative even when we are winning, let's enjoy the ride, love your enthusiasm and joy towards the Mighty Boro

I was thinking about him the other day how it’s his first job as coach and lack of experience. However when you think about all the top coaches and managers he’s been around over the years and the amount of ideas and experience he’ll have picked up from them, I wonder how he’s stayed under other clubs radars.
I mean let’s face it he wasn’t exactly everybody’s choice at the beginning when we were told he was coming here.
To be honest I was a big fan of Warnock when he came and like everyone else Wilder early on but this guy, so far blows them away.
A star man!!!

I really like him. Great attitude.

Quiet confidence, expressive enjoyable football, without arrogance. Calm maturity despite being a young coach.

I hope we can hang on to this fellah. He looks like a diamond.
