Carrick contemplating Hoppe loan.

I think a loan to Rotherham with a US covering some of his wages plus buying Barlaser could be a good deal for all sides.
Sounds like Chiedozie Ogbene is leaving Rotherham too..

We already have Grant Hall on loan there.. Paddy McNair has been rumoured with a move..

I genuinely don’t know what sort of player Hoppe is??

Target man? Link player? Number 10? Wide forward? Pacey / playing on the shoulder?

From the little I’ve seen of him to date, I could only describe him as enthusiastic

It's obviously very limited play time, but I haven't seen anything that suggests quality on the ball and he's looked a bit lost off the ball for me. A loan is absolutely the best move currently.

Not sure he'd be a guaranteed starter at any Championship club, so League 1 may be a good option.

I'd say I have seen indications of on the ball quality, the issue as far as I see it is game intelligence

So in summary wilder was a complete idiot for treating this lad as a development player when we'd spent a bunch of money on him but Carrick loaning him out to league one would be sensible.
Tbf hoppe was more a development player than Forss who was two years older and a full international. It wasn't the development player line that I found objectionable re Hoppe it was the comments he made about him not knowing how to play football and needing to strip away everything he knew and build him up again from scratch. From a man mangment perspective an absolutely horrific way to speak publicly about a multi million pound club asset. Must have destroyed the lads confidence to hear his coach say that about him. Wilder was a pr*ck.

send him to league one, will help him get to grips with english football, think it be perfect from him, and everyhing I've heard from him or comments about him is that this lad is chompin at the bit and raring to go, think will be great for it

Schalke were playing a friendly today at lunchtime so a good time to get seen as there fans are checking social media for updates. I do think a loan were he can get a run of games would potentially do wonders for him.

You'd think a side like Bolton, Barnsley or Wycombe would be a good fit for him right now. They're play off sides, got a little bit of confidence, but not scoring enough. I've ignored Derby who are same position and problems, but pressure of going there would be negative.

Shame Hull have just signed the goal machine that is Aaron Connolly on loan. Surely Hoppe would have been a better option for them.

At least Hoppe is a bit of an unknown quantity.. everyone knows Connolly is sh1t!

His notable exploits in the BundesL ( which was a hatrick followed by a goal each in the next 2 games ) were exactly 2 years ago to the day. A season of near zero competitive game minutes in Spain hasn't helped. He's only been in our country 5 months . He will be 22 in 2 months. I say let him stay in the U21 for now . No team in the league can guarantee him match starts so whats the point. He hasn't a playing history for 2 years so can't see any manager of a lower league welcoming him as a saviour above players he already knows well.

I’ve heard Sunderland want him on loan. Would be good for him but a bad move by the club. If he was to score a few and deny us a playoff spot.

According to The Northern Echo.
I think a league one move would do wonders for him if they could find a club for him where he'd be guaranteed a start.
Seemed to score a fair few when Wilder went fully 'Development player' on his **** and stuck him in the u21's.

Think there's a player in there, much like Coburn just needs a run of games
Nah there’s no player in there.
