Wilder was boring all about round pegs and round holes.Carrick is willing to experiment and it's paying of .Chuba tucked in behind scoring 10 in last 11, playing crooks with his height further forward which is looking good and our shape looks alot Better.Wilder missing out on giving Hackney his chance looks like the missing link we so much needed . Carrick knows what he is doing learning under the best in the game has rubbed of on him a born winner long may it continue.Best appointment for a longtime Gibson finally making good choices again and I'm impressed with the way Kieran scott is going about things communicating through the media it's looking good at the moment.

I don’t think wilder was about round pegs in round holes. He was about one formation.

He played jones as a rwb. He’s a winger. That’s just one example

The difference between Wilder and Carrick is Carrick gets it. He's not stubborn on his tactics, if something isn't working, he's adoptive enough to hold his hands up and change it so we stand a chance

It irked me when Wilder was like 'It's not my tactics, I haven't been found out'
News flash mate you did and we were hopeless

Carrick builds his tactics around the squads strengths. Look at how he uses Fry as an example rather than how Wilder utilisied him in a way that negated all his strengths.

I think with hindsight Wilder is a bit of a chancer who stumbled upon some success with a certain style of play but when that isn’t working he doesn’t have a clue how to change it. We basically had his Sheff Utd career with the fast forward button on.

Also it is worth noting that despite Carricks world class career he seems a genuinely down to earth and humble bloke. Not an arrogant tosspot who thinks he is doing us a favour being here till the next opportunity comes along.
