Care to have Steve Bruce as boss ?

Looks like the deal is happening and the fans want him gone . I know its not gonna happen but I'd have him . Sorry Woody but needs must !

Very happy to have Bruce here. We need an experienced manager to get the best out of what we have got not a bloke who appeared to select a team based on throwing names up in the air and seeing where they landed.

We have stuck with Woodgate now, so might aswell give him a chance now to prove himself. If we get relegated then that’s another story but if he keeps up up and we do relatively well until the end of the season we need to stick with Woodgate and see what he can do next year.

I like Steve Bruce, he's done a cracking job at Newcastle too, infact hasn't he done as good a job, if not better than Benitez but Woodys the manager & for me he stays, fingers crossed, keeps us up & stays for next season

Pointless getting rid of Woodgate, the club has tried to go in a completely new direction this season. Sacking the manager before the season is even up and replacing him with Bruce or any other manager like that would completely defeat the point of what we have tried to do.

We are already dealing with the Pulis legacy and will be for years to come, dont need another manager of that type to come in.

We’ve had 3 months to think about replacing Woodgate and saving our season, it hasn’t happened and the best we can hope for is that the season is cancelled before we lose too many games.

Any rational person would swap Woodgate for Bruce as manager if he became available and would come.
But it's not as simple as that.

What do they claim?

He's been hounded by Newcastle fans since the moment he took over, never able to compare to Saint Benitez, despite Benitez doing a bang average job.

Bruce needs 10 points from the final 27 to equal Benitez's best PL season with Newcastle.

He got 45 points and 13th place, and 44 points and 10th place, but you'd think he'd worked miracles with his dour defensive football.
The football is much the same under Bruce, and they're on 35 points and in 13th place with 9 games left, but he's criticised far more for it.

Steve Bruce is a good manager no doubt about that. He’s probs done a good enough job at Newcastle that even if they decide to sack him once the new owners come in his next job will be a prem one anyway.

I knew they weren't happy with the appointment at the start but I didn't think they were still moaning about him.

I don’t think they are, I read there pages after results and they seem happy but like in a subtude way as if to say they were wrong, all the comments on him are like FairPlay Bruce keep it up but if it was Rafa they would be ugilsing about the results despite the football being of a very similar style.

Good job our fans are a damn sight more level headed than those crazy Geordies!
