If we should find ourselves in the same division next season Cardiff City installed 600 rail seats in the away end at the stary of 2022. So away end is now split between safe standing and fans sitting down (in theory).
Yes but will fans stand if they buy ordinary seat tickets? That is part of the point here giving away fans the choice again to stand or sit.Everyone just stands at away games anyway!
There are no stats showing it is unsafe. But some supporters say they are put off travelling away because either they cannot stand or prefer not to. Part of the campaign behind rail seats was to give fans that choice again. So, I am interested to hear which tickets are most popular with visiting fans? And also whether people do sit down on in non rail-seats and also whether it is enforced. I hope not but they could choose to do so.Never regarded standing at normal seats as being particularly unsafe.
Are there any stats to prove otherwise?
Would it be an idea just to be to allocate a sitting only block? I know there are always practical issues but it's worth a thought. There are no stats showing it is unsafe. The ticket office try and help with this when asked. They do it informally which is perhaps best.Would it be an idea just to be to allocate a sitting only block? I know there are always practical issues but it's worth a thought.
Not sure how many would prefer to sit, but some probably have to due to age/ health conditions.
