Cardiff and Sheff Utd tickets

There was an AWFUL lot of crying on here about a lot of season card holders not being able to build up priority points because the 'elite' snap up all away tickets and gain more points before anyone else can.

This just shows that 99% of our away games make general sale, and the priority point system for the REALLY high demand games is fair and works.

Hopefully all those that moaned they couldn't get access to Sunderland tickets are going to Cardiff and/or Sheff Utd to build up their points.

No, it isn't fair and doesn't work. It just allows a small group to undeservedly jump ahead of their fellow season ticket holders along with corporate ticket holders. Elitist scheme.

It's open to all Corcy lad. Anyone can build up points if they want to.

I think you and I both know that really, the majority of the whingers can't be arsed with all the effort. They just wanted tickets for Sunderland and have no interest in going to Cardiff.

I had no interest in either, I was just criticising the unfair system.

a 30 minute journey up the A19 against a local rival is abit more appealing/cheaper that a drive down to South Wales or a night match and gubbing at Sheffield when its on SKY .. dont really see how you can compare the three

If youre saying i have to go to the likes of Bristol, Cardiff and QPR to enable me to sit with my own supporters then i'll do without and make my own arrangements

Its not about building points its about choice and expense. But yes those that choose to spend their money and time watching the boro at the likes of Cardiff deserve a Sunderland ticket infront of me (i still saw the game just in the home end)

It is fair and it does work, albeit there's some small tweeks that need to be sorted (e.g. - Gold Card status and Chairman's drink status - both closed shop).

Other than that, those who qualified for a ticket to Sunderland away fully deserved their chance of getting a ticket.

The Loyalty scheme works, and works well.

The old scheme was far outdated.

Thankfully MFC saw sense, and brought in a loyalty scheme.

Long may it continue.

If you want to qualify for high in demand away games - very simple - build up your points.

And building up your points (as evidence of Cardiff/Sheff Utd away) can be done.

Outdated because those who could afford the time and money weren't at the front of the queue so put together a pressure group to get policy changed to suit themselves?

It's to allow those who put a great deal of time, effort and make a lot of sacrifices, travelling 'Boro around all over the UK to have a better chance of bagging a high in demand ticket ahead of those who don't.

That's why it's now, a lot fairer (y)

Time and effort 😁 it's a hobby that they can afford both time and money on. No effort required, unless they're walking or cycling there.

It's an elitist system which excludes other season ticket holders from the same rights

No effort required?

So why is Cardiff away less attended than most other away games? Especially given the fact the ticket prices for Cardiff away are one of the cheapest around?
It's because people don't have that much spare money or as much spare time as the few that go do.

As I said, no effort required.
