He’s not, but It looks like Warnock thinks so, he’s announced its a permanent role.
I think its to get him onside, sign a new contract and tske the pressure off Flogging him in January like they will have to if he doesn’t sign up.

Yes possibly, hopefully it works. I’m fairly sure if and when we get the Wigan fella in he will be the captain.

I was hoping that Morsi would be sorted by now myself.
His ex manager Paul Cook was glowing about Morsi being his captain at Wigan on and off the field.

Why would they specifically announce Britt as captain for the season if they were going to give it to Morsi within a month?

The article suggests for the season in the title but when you read it in full it seems to suggest they will start with him as captain “And the Boro boss Warnock says it's an arrangement that will stay in place as the season gets going.“
to me that doesn’t mean all season.

But it could be that Britt has been awkward with Howson etc, so Warnock has said, ok you give it s go if you think you can do better.

I don't believe that 'awkward' bit - you can see how other players are with him when he scores - and him with them
The manager has been very positive when talking about him - when he could have said other things as the reason
I know we don't know everything but why would people speculate - I'm not meaning you specifically - when there is no evidence of any rumbles etc?

Because we don’t get told the facts.
Besides, if we didn’t Speculate we would be bored of all this lot In no time. Its a bit of craic mate, Just go along with it, or wait forever for the club or the Gazette to tell us the real truth years after he’s left.

It’s defiently not craic though is it. It’s just something you have made up in your head that you want everyone to believe and have took issue that we haven’t. I’m all for the banter , speculation but that one was a bit odd and probably 99 percent likely to be wrong.
