Can you see Assombalonga having a future here?

I thought he worked hard today. He worked the channels well and I liked how he kept backing into players in order to draw the foul.

He also came close to scoring in the 1st half but it ended up being a Gazza moment.

After his performance at home to Leeds I said I never wanted to see him play for the club again, but would you like the idea of him staying if he agreed to a pay cut?

Of course he could just be trying to put himself in the shop window, but it may also be the Warnock effect which has rejuvenated him.

I wouldn’t mind it but I just don’t see him signing a new deal, he did play well today and he has a manager who likes him as he tried to sign him at Cardiff and gave him the full 90 today. You never know, the Warnock factor could play a part in him staying. He and Fletcher caused havoc today

Yeah , I just don’t see him taking a pay cut with us but at the same time I think his next wage will surely be less than what he’s on here anyway so you never know

Yeah, to be fair I think we should still try and sell him.

Hopefully he'll perform well until the end of the season and we'll get a decent fee for him. I'd be happy with £6-7m to be honest.

How much will we get for him? Its impossible to say post virus. Would any premier club sign him, very doubtful, that would leave championship clubs. Their finances are so stretched that any fee plus wages would be much lower than pre virus. What wage is he on here £25k+ no 2nd tier club can afford that, what is their transfer budget 5-10 million total. So most offers will be below our acceptable level.
We maybe stuck with Brit for the final year of his contract, then he can negotiate his own deal. If we can motivate him to play as he did today I would not be averse to that

If you're going to use Britt as a lone striker you need a no 10 who can play in behind him. He's best used as an advanced forward, playing off the shoulder of the last defender.

You only have to think back to how well he was performing when he played up front alongside Braithwaite, and he's generally performed well when played alongside Fletcher.

Problem's been we've been mostly set up 4-5-1 during his time here, he's ended up isolated and had to drop deep looking for the ball, or drift into the channels. Fans then get frustrated when he loses the ball easily but it's not his game.

Completely agree, he's not a hold up merchant and completely wasted with his back to goal. He could have played last week as a foil for Gestede but Woody got his team selection completely wrong.
The teams that avoid relegation are the ones with goalscorers and we have 2 in Britt and Fletch. It's criminal we are the lowest scorers in the league !!!

Warnock has tried to sign him before, so if he stays Britt may too
Britt played well today
Fair play.
He hasnt lived up to his price tag or his billing.
Forest lads say he was lazy for half the season and always losing the ball.
They thought we were joking when we paid 15M for him.
Hes not bad, but hes OK for the Championship.
If he moves on he wont get the money hes on here.
Guess we will just have to wait and see(y)
